 "Finding light"

"Finding light"

52 Weeks - Week 11

April 08, 2014

Hi everyone,

Just a quick post to catch up with my before & after explanations! This was my image for the theme "glasses". Oh boy I struggled with this one... I focused a lot on glasses in the actual sense and tried something with sunglasses which I ended up not liking a lot.

Then I wanted to take an image using a real glass but whatever I came up with, was just too... normal. So I tried it with something made of glass. I used a few things and then saw this old light bulb lying in my office so I decided to try something with that. The problem was that I couldn't leave my apartment for that day so I had to make do with what I had. Note to self: the sink is not big enough for this.

So as you can see, I didn't actually do too much with the image. I changed the lights and tones and added a fake glow in the light bulb.

I have to be honest, this is not my favourite from this project! ;) But that's ok, we cannot always get the best image, sometimes it is worth trying out things and realising what you could have done better so you know next time. Lesson learnt? Yes.

All the best,
Andrea
